Java Rockin’ Land (JRL) is the annually event by Java Festival Production. It is a 3-days music festival with 10 stages and lots of performances from local or international artists.

This was my first time to attend this festival, but I only came on Day 1 to watch 30 Seconds To Mars. I went to the venue with my sister and her boyfriend. I arrived at 10PM and had to wait until 12.45AM for 30 Seconds To Mars.

While I was waiting, I wandered around the venue and saw other performances. I watched Blood Red Shoes, which was actually very cool. I just knew them and I fell in love with them. Seriously, this band rocks.

After Blood Red Shoes, I jumped to another stage, there was this one local metal band with a kind-of-hardcore female vocalist/screamer. She was good though. Next, I watched Loudness, a heavy metal band from Japan. I had never heard of them as well until I knew this band was quite legendary. Lucky me :)

12.40AM, I joined Selvana and her friends to watch 30 Seconds To Mars together.

12.45AM, finally 30 Seconds To Mars started to perform. They mostly played songs from the latest album like Kings and Queens, Hurricane, Search and Destroy, This Is War, Closer To The Edge, and else.

Well, to be honest, I did not enjoy their performance, because I think they did not perform well. Too many improvisation and songs like From Yesterday and The Kill were played acoustically, what the? Out of my expectation. They could be much better than that I believe.

For 30STM at JRL, I rated 6 out of 10. One point for finally came to Indonesia.
